The Bruml family included the brothers Julius L. Bruml (1864-1956) and Henry G. Bruml (1865-?), as well as Julius' son, Leonard Bruml (1904-1988). The Bruml brothers operated a general store in Lockeford, San Joaquin County, California.
Summary
Three ledgers, completed in manuscript, documenting the activities of the Bruml family of Lockeford, San Joaquin County, California. The first ledger, 1901, contains a detailed inventory of the Bruml brothers' general store's stock, including textiles, clothing, household goods, and a list of the store's liabilities and creditors. The second ledger, 1911-1939, contains a list of the store's and family's accounts. The third ledger contains a collection of school essays written by Leonard Bruml in 1916, as well as papers, tipped in, written by him in 1920.
