Biographical / Historical Note
Terrence McNally is an American playwright, librettist and screenwriter. A musical adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel East of Eden was produced on Broadway by Mitch Miller in 1968, as Here's Where I Belong. Due to a disagreement between McNally and Miller over script changes, McNally asked that his name be removed from the credits, and Alex Gordon, (a pen name for Gordon Cotler) was credited for the book in the Playbill production program.
Summary
