Manuscript correspondence and a report, in unidentified hands, detailing events in the French colony of Saint-Domingue for internal use by the Spanish government, November 1791. The documents describe the insurrection by enslaved people on August 21, 1791; the requests for help sent by the French colonial government; and the response of the Spanish government. Names mentioned in the documents include: governor general of Saint-Domingue Philibert François Rouxel de Blanchelande; governor of Cuba Luis de las Casas y Aragorri; statesman José Moñino y Redondo, conde de Floridablanca; and Navy minister Antonio Valdés.
