A slip is attached to the spine with a letter addressed to two brothers, Asʻad and Saʻīd Chalabī.

On folio 1a: An ownership statement: "Mulk al-faqīr ilayhi taʻālá, Maḥmūd najl al-Shaykh ʻAbd al-Salām Abī Ghazālah, ʻafá Allāh ʻanhumā. Āmīn. Sanat 1274 [lil-Hijrah = 1857/1858]."
على وجه الورقة 1: مدوّنة تملّك: "ملك الفقير إليه تعالى، محمود نجل الشيخ عبد السلام أبي غزالة، عفى الله عنهما. آمين. سنة 1274 [للهجرة = 1857/1858]."

Translation of the colophon: "The book of 'al-Ṭibb al-Nabawī' of al-Dhahabī was completed by the hand of its owner, the poor Maḥmūd ibn ʻAbd al-Salām Abī Ghazālah, may both of them be forgiven by His grace. In the year 1274 [of the Hijrah = 1857/1858]."

Summary
"al-Ṭibb al-Nabawī" (Prophet's medicine), a corpus of traditional medicine attributed to Prophet Muḥammad, by Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Dhahabī (1274-1348), a well-known historian and prolific scholar, of Turkmen ancestry, from Mayyāfāriqīn (Silvan, Diyarbakır İli, Turkey), with some one-hundred works to his credit, born and died in Damascus (Syria). Copied in the year 1274 of the Hijrah (1857/1858), by its owner Maḥmūd ibn ʻAbd al-Salām Abī Ghazālah. Place of copying not mentioned.
