Lorraine Watanabe Mizuno (1946 - ) attended Yuba High School in Yuba City, California, circa 1962. The United States government incarcerated her father Frank Masao Watanabe (1919-2003) at the Granada Relocation Center during World War II, 1942-1944.

Mimeograph of a typescript report about Japanese-American incarceration during World War II, written by Lorraine Watanabe Mizuno for a civics class at Yuba High School, 1962. The twelve-page report focuses on living conditions in incarceration camps and the psychological impact on incarcerees. Although her father Frank Masao Watanabe was incarcerated from 1942 to 1944, Mizuno does not mention his experience specifically. Following the report are copies of several primary sources, including newspaper clippings, a letter from War Relocation Authority director Dillon S. Myer about community government in the camps, the War Relocation Authority's "Community Government Handbook," and a 1944 issue of Granada Pioneer (volume 2, number 20), a newspaper published by incarcerees at Granada Relocation Center. Also present is a printed guidebook to Granada Relocation Center entitled "Amache, Colorado: Granada Relocation Center" with Frank Watanabe's ownership stamp. The guidebook includes illustrations and sections about community government, education, religion, social activities, and hospital facilities at the camp.
