Typescript (original) unfinished draft of article by unknown author. The first page provides brief historical information about two burial grounds for Black people in New York City; it concludes with an excerpt from an August 1767 Virginia Gazette advertisement which offers for sale a young Black man who is well-traveled and plays the French horn. The second page briefly refers to the history of Black servants and enslaved people in 17th century Jamestown, Virginia, and Captain William Tucker specifically, before ending with a brief mention of "Nicholas Martian" (Nicholas Martiau) and speculation that he freed two enslaved people in his will.
