Summary
This document is dated a few years after the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act in 1807. The document is divided by tabs and an index: Admiralty, Agents, Commander in Chief, Board of Trade, Foreign Department, Treasury, among others. Records of vessels that entered the port of Belize Honduras: cargo, crew, where they were built. Correspondence of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Lord Viscount Goderich, including letters from the Superintendent of Honduras regarding imports/exports of the Honduras port and the Blue Books (almanacs). Other letters are regarding slaves: a female slave's death sentence being changed to transportation; the question of charging fees for the marriage and baptism of slaves; and the standing of the 'colored population' in the colonies. Also a letter reporting that two Africans were rescued from the hands of pirates and have been provided for, even given a place on board a ship as seamen to provide for themselves.
