Summary
Small collection of correspondence, writings, and other papers relating to German authors active in the 1930s through 1950s. Correspondence includes: one autograph postcard, signed, from H. Braun, dated 21 January 1934, to "Prof." Gruhle, possibly Hans Walter Gruhle; one postcard to Frick from a Bremen bookseller, Antiquariat Beim Steinernen Kreuz GmbH; and one autograph note, signed, from Donald Prater to an unidentified recipient. Writings include: an undated autograph fair copy, bound, of Sieg: Novelle aus altgermanischer Zeit by Kurt Bock; one draft, autograph, of "Die Tafulrunde" by Bruno Goetz, published in Das Heile Wort: Gedichte (Horb am Neckar: Verlag Paul Christian, c1935); a typescript draft of a review by "Dr. Bartsch" of Das Eisenwerk (Berlin: Wolfgang Krüger Verlag, c1939) by August Scholtis; and a printed version of Bonaparte in Jaffa: Historisches Schauspiel (Berlin: Aufbau-Bühnen-Vertrieb, c1949) by Arnold Zweig, annotated and with manuscript revisions pasted in. Other papers include manuscript notes and photographs. The latter include one photograph and one photographic postcard of Kurt Heynicke, one photograph of a theatrical performance of "Der Lobgesang" by Goetz, and a printed reproduction of a photograph of Carl Hauptmann.
