Incipit: The beginning is missing, text starts with: "... samiʻa Allāh li-man ḥamidah. Rabbanā laka al-ḥamd. Thumma yuʻāwidu al-qirāʼah fī ṣalāt al-kusūf arbaʻ rakaʻāt fī rakʻatayn wa-arbaʻ sajadāt. Wa-qāla al-Awzāʻī wa-ghayruhu: Samiʻtu al-Zuhrī, ʻan ʻUruwah, ʻan ʻĀʼishah, anna al-Shamsa khusifat ʻalá ʻahd Rasūl Allāh, ṣallá Allāh ʻalayhi wa-sallam, fa-baʻatha munādiyan al-ṣalāh jāmiʻah, fa-taqaddama, fa-ṣallá arbaʻ rakaʻāt fī rakʻatayn wa-arbaʻ sajadāt ..."
البداية مفقودة، يبدأ النص بـِ: "... سمع الله لمن حمده. ربَّنا لك الحمد. ثم يعاود القراءة في صلاة الكسوف أربع ركعات في ركعتين وأربع سجدات. وقال الأوزاعي وغيره: سمعت الزهري، عن عروة، عن عائشة، أنّ الشمس خسفت على عهد رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم، فبعث مناديًا الصلاة جامعة، فتقدّم، فصلى أربع ركعات في ركعتين وأربع سجدات ..."

على اللصيقة على الزاوية السفلى اليمنى لوجه الورقة 40: "الجامع الصحيح. جلد 1. نمورو 256."
Colophon: No colophon. Text ends abruptly with "Bāb khuṭbat al-imām fī al-kusūf" (Chapter on the imam's sermon on the eclipse), as follows: "... thumma qāl: Yā ummata Muḥammad, wa-Allāh mā min aḥadin aghyar min Allāh an yazniya ʻabduhu aw tazniya amatuhu. Yā ummata Muḥammad, wa-Allāh law taʻlamūn mā aʻlamu la-ḍaḥiktum qalīlan wa-la-bakītum kathīran. Bāb ..."
الخاتمة: لا يوجد خاتمة. ينتهي النص فجأةً بـِ: "باب خطبة الإمام في الكسوف"، كما يلي: "... ثم قال: يا أمّة محمد، والله ما من أحدٍ أغير من الله أن يزني عبده أو تزني أمته. يا أمة محمد، والله لو تعلمون ما أعلم لضحكتم قليلًا ولبكيتم كثيرًا. باب ..."

Summary
Selections from "al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīḥ" also called "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī", the first and most authoritative corpus of Hadith, by Muḥammad ibn Ismāʻīl al-Bukhārī, a prolific and well-known scholar, born in Bukhārá and died in Samarqand (810-870). The present manuscript is incomplete, the beginning and end are missing. The leaves do not seem to be in order, and some seem to be missing. Name of copyist and place and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
