Summary
The album was compiled by Florence L. Hunter while a nurse at the Bath War Hospital. Entries from convalescing soldiers include a mixture of verse, prose, and sketches (some of them humorous). Several entries make reference to Hunter as a masseuse. An appreciation from Private W.J. Bonny, in 1918, credits her for his renewed ability to walk: "Week in, week out, month in, month out, Miss Hunter pegged away at my legs with little to encourage her in her work ..."
