Script: Gothic textualis.
Decoration: 7 miniatures, 4 with diapered panels, of an original 12 miniatures: of the Annunciation (f. 13r), of the Visitation (f. 30r), of the Presentation in the temple (f. 53r), of the Massacre of the Innocents (f. 57r), of Christ at the Last Judgement (f. 68r), of Pentecost (f. 87r), of mourners and priest praying over the bier (f. 92r). Dentelle initials, line-fillers in similar style; rubrication.
Binding: dark-brown blind-tooled leather over wooden boards. Re-backed.
Foliation in modern pencil. This foliation lacks leaves 40, 45, 50, 64, 65, 66, 67, which have been lost. A second foliation in modern pencil on every five leaves.
In Latin with calendar and rubrics in middle French.

Contemporary manuscript notes in calendar recording birth of four children in January and February Manuscript inscriptions on front pastedown in modern pencil: Benedictine, Italy, 1952 Maggs, and description of the manuscript. Formerly owned by Otto Ege (Ege Laird 5). Purchased from John M. Summary
Illuminated manuscript, in unidentified hand, on parchment, of a book of hours, use of Rome. Contains: calendar in middle French (ff. 1r-12v), Hours of the Virgin (compline missing, ff. 13r-63v), Penitential Psalms (ff. 68r-78r), Litany, petitions, prayers (ff. 78v-83v), Hours of the Cross (ff. 84r-86v), Hours of the Holy Spirit (ff. 87r-91v), Office of the Dead (ff. 92r-127v). Prayer to St. Gaugerice (St. Gaugericus, bishop of Cambrai) suggests a Cambrai destination.
