Incipit: "[Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-]Raḥīm ... [Kitāb al-bayʻ. Wa-fīhi bayān al-amr bi-al-kas]b wa-ādābih. Kāna Anas ibn Mālik, raḍiya Allāh [ʻanh], yaqūlu: Samiʻtu Rasūl Allāh ... yaqūlu: ʻAllama Allāh ... Ādam ... alf ḥirfah min al-ḥiraf ..."

البداية: "[بسم الله الرحمن الـ‍‍]ـ‍‍رحيم ... [كتاب البيع. وفيه بيان الأمر بالكسـ‍‍]ـ‍‍ب وآدابه. كان أنس بن مالك، رضي الله [عنه]، يقول: سمعت رسول الله ... يقول: علّم الله ... آدم ... ألف حرفة من الحرف ..."
