Gotha catalog conjectures that the Kifāyat al-mutaḥaffiẓ is the work so titled of Ibn al-Ajdābī (Brockelmann, I, 308); but the contents of that work given in Berlin catalog 7043 are quite differently chapter-headed.
The attribution to Ibn Mālik is fictitious.
