Incipit: Incomplete at beginning; folio 1a begins: "... lā yumkinu al-ʻabd an yunshiʼa jamīʻ al-maḥāmid minhu wa-min ghayrihi wa-hādhā qawl al-Muʻtazilah ..."

البداية: ناقص في البداية؛ تبدأ الورقة 1أ بـِ: "... لا يمكن العبد أن ينشئ جميع المحامد منه ومن غيره وهذا قول المعتزلة ..."

Fair naskhī, in red, green, and black.

Loose in Islamic binding, in brown, with flap.

Colophon: "Tamma ... ʻalá yad ... Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻUthmān al-shahīr bi-al-Baḥr yawm al-Ithnayn al-mubārak, sādis shahr Muḥarram al-ḥarām, iftitāḥ sanat thalāthah ʻashar wa-miʼah wa-alf."

الخاتمة: "تم ... على يد ... محمد بن محمد بن عثمان الشهير بالبحر يوم الاثنين المبارك، سادس شهر محرم الحرام، افتتاح سنة ثلاثة عشر ومائة وألف."

Translation of the colophon: "It was completed ... by the hand of ... Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻUthmān, known as al-Baḥr, on blessed Monday, the sixth of the sacred month of al-Muḥarram, the beginning of the year 1113 [of the Hijrah = 13 June 1701]."
