Summary
Undated holograph and typed manuscript with corrections of William Leidy Adams's memoirs from his birth in 1860, to 1888. Adams describes his boyhood on a farm and early education in Pennsylvania; his studies at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio; his work as a teacher in Pennsylvania and Ohio; and his move to Texas in 1882, where he became a sheep rancher and county official in Midland and Mitchell Counties. Some pages of the manuscript are written on the verso of typescripts of portions of a story by Geraldine Blufman, and "The Adams Family in America" by an unidentified author. Folder containing manuscript reads "Gwenivere Adams, English IV, Miss Harker's School, Palo Alto, California, Senior Year."
