Summary
Two bound typescript carbon notebooks numbered Volume 17 and 18 containing transcriptions of Clarke's holograph diaries of his thoughts on current events, story and play ideas, letters, and transcribed newspaper articles, poems, etc. Volume seventeen (1919 Jan 12-Apr 2) contains the transcription of Volumes 75-77 of Clarke's holograph diaries and the playscript by Clarke and Mona March Goodwyn, The Taming of the Tiger (which Clarke calls Tizah); Volume eighteen (1929 Apr 8-1930 Oct 27) contains the transcription of Volumes 78-81. A holograph title page in each volume reads, "Diary Notebooks of Crichton Clarke, 71 W 23rd St., New York, NY."
