A transcript of Walter Stratton Anderson's oral history interviews with John T. Mason, Jr. Anderson discusses his childhood and education, his naval training and sea commands, his work as Supervisor at New York Harbor, as a naval attaché in London, as Director of Naval Intelligence, and as Commander of the Gulf Sea Frontier. Anderson also comments on Pearl Harbor, the Automatic Electric Company, and gives his impressions of U.S. naval admirals and of Secretaries of the Navy Josephus Daniels and Frank Knox.
