Summary
Autograph diary of a two month journey from London through Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. Fox details her displeasure at the difficulties of travel, bad inns, poor food, lame horses, dirty roads and "indifferent" sermons. She notes her reactions to sights such as "the skeleton of a woman who was hung for murdering her own child two hundred years ago" at Exeter Cathedral and her view of the tin mines of Devon, which have a "dreary and miserable appearance."
