Summary
Manuscript on parchment of Ducale issued in the name of Antonio Grimani, doge of Venice (1436-1523), giving instructions in Latin and Italian to a Venetian governor setting out for the island of Crete. The name of the governor, Petrus Barbarus, is in a 16th century hand quite different from the scribe's hand that wrote the body of the document and is written over a dirty erasure. The date and the signature of the scribe on f. 14r may be later additions.
