Summary
Manuscript copy, dated 1710, of a Bristol County, Massachusetts, Court of General Sessions memorandum, recording the bond of recognizance by Thomas Terry, with surety in the amount of 10 pounds, licensing Terry to keep an inn and sell alcohol, on condition (among others) that Terry not sell alcohol to "apprentices, servants, Indians or Negroes."
