Eleven leather-bound volumes of mounted, unlabelled architectural photographs documenting a late 19th-century European and Middle East tour of Charles William Romeyn, American architect. Each volume inscribed: “The Charles William Romeyn Collection of Art and Architecture Photographs Presented to the Yale Club Library by His Son Radcliffe Romeyn ‘12S.” Many photographs purchased from professional photographic studies, some with identifying information on the photograph. Of significant interest for pre-World War I views of a selection of major European cities and historic buildings.
