Summary
Although the preface and the title do not admit it, this is a copy of Bankoku Jinbutsu zu which BYU also owns. The illustrations are all hand-colored and are little different from the original book. This book consists of illuatrations and brief explanations concerning the people of 42 countries. The author is a famous scholar of the mid-Edo period. He was interested in astronomy and geography and had written many books dealing with western science.
