The catalog exists in two editions with the same t.p.; entries are listed in same order but in the variant the text is more compressed. In this edition, the vignette above the title "A Catalogue" only allows room for entries no. 1-3 to be listed on p. 3. On the variant, a vignette above the title "A Catalogue" is lacking which allows room for entries no. 1-8 on p. 3.

Provenance
Formerly owned by Horace Walpole. Sold at the Strawberry Hill Sale, vii.149, to Smith, Lisle Street [London, 1160]; bound in four volumes by Riviere in half green morocco ca. 1850, apparently for John Sheepshanks whose bookplate is in the volumes. Sold at Sotheby's, 2 March 1891 (Miscellaneous Sale), lot 826, to Harvey. Volumes 1-2, 4 were purchased by W.S. Lewis from Maggs in 1925; the third volume in 1928.
