BEIN 2013 +191: No. 4 of 11 works bound together. Unidentified ecclesiastical armorial binding. Armorial bookplate of Thomas Shedden. Presentation inscription dated 1865 from Thomas Shedden to George Washington Riggs, his son-in-law. G.W. Riggs was the grandfather of T. Lawrason Riggs, Yale 1910, the first Catholic chaplain at Yale. This is the copy formerly held by the Saint Thomas More Chapel & Center at Yale. Accompanied by 2 printed sheets of Mass prayers for December 8th (for the feast of the Immaculate Conception, published: Baltimore : John Murphy & Co., 1864) and April 27th (for St. Petrus Canisius); and two leaves with prayers in manuscript, possibly in the hand of Fr. Riggs.
