James Merrill, American poet.

Album (box 1) containing photographs of James Merrill as an infant and child, circa 1926 to 1938, with members of the Merrill family and unidentified others. Photographs also include images of the Merrill family estate ("The Orchard") in Southampton, New York. Other papers consist of typescript copies of writings (box 2) and clippings (boxes 2-3) relating to Merrill. The writings include copies of Merrill's memoir, "A Different Person," and two poetry collections, "Mirabell: Books of Number" and "Scripts for the Pageant," the latter dated 1978 and inscribed, "DSJ with love from JM, DJ & Co."
