Summary
The Musée du livre commenced publication in Brussels in 1907 and initially issued single fascicles, later double fascicles, than triple ones and the very last volume published in 1920, combined fascicles 47 through 59. The pagination was continuous through no. 46 and the plates were numbered right through to no. 59. Apart from this last omnibus number the fascicles were unbound and occasionally missing plates and text. This is further complicated by the fact that the pagination appears at times to include the preliminaries and at times does not. In any event it is a really rich publication with substantial contributions on the history of printing, methods of reproduction, color printing, ex libris and illustration. It also contains a substantial number of original prints.
