Formerly The Globe (1-6262, 1 Jan. 1803-28 Dec. 1822), then The Globe and Traveller (6263-39167, 30 Dec. 1822-5. Feb. 1921). Absorbed The Traveller (18??-1822), The True Briton, The Statesman, (18??-1824), The Evening Chronicle (1824), The Nation (1824), The Argus (1828), then merged in The Evening Standard.
In 1823, when The Globe and The Traveller merged into The Globe and Traveller, it was first published by Charles Cornwell, then by C. Smith, followed by G. Cowie and finally by George Harvey who continued publishing it until at least 1831.
