Notes
“The colored pictures are all printed with polymer plates in letterpress, using the color separation process. So 4 plates where necessary for each pictures. It's similar as the way I used in my 'Stundenbuch': a mixture of computer work and letterpress printing. But in this case it's far from being a “pious” book. All pictures come from the internet and show girls that are taking pictures of themselves, mostly in front of a mirror (so called “selfies”) with their cell phone”. “I used this “found material” in my way and added text passages of the famous Beatles song “Lucy in the Sky” (it became also the title of my book). Especially the phrase “picture yourself” convinced me in the context. The form and smallness of the book are a reference to the omnipresent mobile devices.” - Peter Malutzki (joshuahellerrarebooks.com. viewed 8/14/14)
