Summary
Seventeen autograph letters, signed, from Lucien Amadieu, a French businessman traveling in the United States as a representative of Pneu Michelin, to an unidentified uncle and aunt, 1911-1914. Letters dated 1913-1914 concern travels in New York, New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Florida, including observations on the Pneu Michelin factory in Milltown, New Jersey, the American automobile industry, and American business and politics. Also present are five unidentified letters and documents, 1904-1935, apparently relating to Amadieu's family, some referring to Amadieu or to Irenne Felgères; and two photographs of a man, possibly Amadieu, on the deck of an unidentified ship, circa 1900.
