Biographical / Historical Note
The Western Reserve Stock Company was founded by John Dunlap in Mineral Ridge, Ohio in 1882, with the purpose of purchasing and selling cattle in Arizona. Dunlap served as treasurer and secretary. The company was dissolved in 1916.
Summary
Ledger containing manuscript entries by John Dunlap regarding the business of the Western Reserve Stock Company. Dunlap records accounts of several Company meetings; purchases of range, cattle, and horses; and hiring Burt Dunlap to manage the Company's interests and acquisitions. The ledger also includes pedigrees of cattle that Dunlap owned, records from cattle and agricultural auctions, and personal business dealings relating to agriculture.
