Summary
Although Major General Logan Feland was a nationally and internationally prominent Marine Corps officer during his lifetime, he is relatively unknown 75 years after his death. His career in the Marine Corps revealed him as a highly intelligent, motivated, and brave Marine who helped transform the USMC from 'Useless Sons Made Comfortable' to an efficient fighting force in the early twentieth century. This book restores General Feland's place in history as it resurrects his life story and his significant contributions to the dramatic development of the Marine Corps between 1899 and 1933.
