Biographical / Historical Note
The International Exhibition of Modern Art, known as the Armory Show, was organized by the Association of American Painters and Sculptors, and ran from February 17 through March 15, 1913, at the 69th Regiment Armory on East 26th Street in New York City. The Armory Show was the first modern art show in the United States featuring avant-garde works by European artists previously unseen by an American audience.

Photograph by an unidentified photographer showing an interior view of the Armory Show at the 69th Regiment Armory on East 26th Street in New York City between February 17 and March 15, 1913. Pictured are sculptures and paintings installed in Gallery H, including Standing Woman (1910) and Woman Kneeling (1911) by Wilhelm Lehmbruck (1881-1919) and Mlle Pogany I (1912) by Constantin Brancusi (1976-1957).
