Formerly page 37 in an album containing 402 pages, bound in red morocco leather with single gilt ruled line; spine stamped in gold "Drawings." Now disassembled and matted separately: Bull, R. Scrapbook of drawings. [England], [not after 1806].
Provenance
Merian drawings purchased by Richard Bull from the collection of Doctor Fothergill (1712-1780). Album purchased by W.S. Lewis at the Julia Swinburne and Lady Jane Ashburnham sale, Sotheby's, lot 426, 20 July 1954.
