In the ideal configuration of this edition leaf [superscript pi]A2r is signed "A.ii." and line 2 from bottom has "reson"; [superscript pi]A3v mentions a separate table for each king; [superscript pi]A4r has "Englyshe wryters"; each king has separate register and foliation and have roman numeral line numbers in inner margin; A1r last line has "Kyng Henry"; B2r line 35 has "& committed". Variant (trial setting or later replacement of damaged sheets?): A1r last line has "Kynge Henry"; B2r line 35 has "and committed". Printed in "Dutch" textura with the H having a loop at the top; indexes to Henry VI and VII are in 64mm textura, while others (printed by Steven Mierdman) are in 78mm. By Edward Hall, whose name appears on leaf [superscript pi]A2r. Hall's work ended with 1532. It was continued to the death of Henry VIII, from Hall's notes, by Richard Grafton.
