Summary
In 1913 Vienna, the daughter of a cabaret owner is separated from her fiance when he is drafted into the Imperial Troops. As a precaution he sends her to the country in order to prevent the misfortunes happening to her that usually happen to cabaret performers in the city. But it is not long before she breaks their agreement, and experiences success as a club singer.
