Summary
Collection consists chiefly of printed materials relating to roller skating in the United States during the 1950s through 1970s. Printed materials include certificates, clippings, periodicals, programs for roller skating tournaments, and other ephemera. Periodicals (boxes 1-2) feature the offical magazine of the Roller Skating Rink Operators Assocation under the successive titles, Skating News (1951-1957), Roller Skating News (1958), and Skate (1958-1971). Programs document events, chiefly at roller skating rinks in the state of Texas. Other materials include correspondence, photographs (boxes 2-3), and questionnaires. Some materials relate to Geraldine ("Jerry") A. Willis.
