The first volume contains a facsimile of the catalog of the library of Duke Charles III of Croÿ (1560-1612), Catalogus universalis seu designatio omnium librorum, qui sub auctione publica bononorum mobilium, quondam illustrissimi D. Ducis Croy & Arschotani Bruxellae 19. Augusti huius anni 1614, diuendi incipientur, printed in Brussels, at the workshop of Rutger Velpius and Hubert Anthoine, in 1614. The second volume presents a series of studies on the man who established this collection.
