On folio 1a: "Sharḥ ʻAqīdat al-Sanūsīyah, li-muʼallifihā, nafaʻanā Allāh taʻālá bi-barakātihi fī al-dunyā wa-al-ākhirah. Āmīn. Āmīn."

Translation of the colophon: "This blessed copy was copied on the twelfth day in the Sacred and blessed month of [Muḥarram?], the year 1147 of the Hijrah of the Prophet, may the best prayer and peace be upon him, by the poor who admits his disability and insufficiency, Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad Darwish al-Abzārī, al-Mālikī madhhaban, may God forgive him, his parents and all Muslims. Summary
Treatise on "ʻIlm al-kalām" (literally 'science of talking', i.e., Islamic scholastic theology, Islamic doctrines) by Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Sanūsī (approximately 1427-approximately 1490), a leading Muslim scholar and notable from Tilimsān (Tlemcen, Algeria), being a commentary by the author on his own treatise titled "Umm al-barāhīn fī ʻilm al-kalām", or, "ʻAqīdat ahl al-tawḥīd al-ṣughrá", or "al-ʻAqīdah al-ṣughrá" (the Smaller doctrine), to distinguish it from the author's two other treatises on the same subject: "al-ʻAqīdah al-wusṭá" (the Middle doctrine), and "al-ʻAqīdah al-kubrá" (the Larger doctrine), also called "ʻAqīdah ahl al-tawḥīd". Copied on 12 Muḥarram (?), 1147 of the Hijrah (14 June, 1734), by the owner, Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad Darwish al-Abzārī, al-Mālikī madhhaban. place of copying not mentioned.
