"The text has been set in Adobe Optima ... Photopolymer plates were made at Western Washington University. The display text is Coronet Bold set in wood, lead and digital forms. The dingbats for each chapter come from my very large collection of lead type ... The printing was done on my Vandercook 4"--Page before the bibliography.

"The illustrations have been created using paper collage plates that are placed under the tympan sheet on the press cylinder ... the ink transferred to the press sheet in densities that conformed to the thickness of the paper collage. This produces a monochromatic relief print with much softer edges than normally expected in letterpress printing. The artwork can also be created right-reading."--Page before the bibliography.

Binding is a Gary Frost style (sewn boards library binding) and involves minimal glue. Issued in a drop-spine box with embossed image on the front. Illustrated papers lining the box are the same used on the book covers.
