Summary
Anonymous typescript report, with manuscript corrections, of an interview with two French resistance fighters from Jura, France, conducted the day after their repatriation to France on 21 March 1945 in the wake of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Russian army. The document describes the men's arrest and torture by Nazi authorities in May and June 1944; their subsequent internment at the Mauthausen, Struthof (also called Natzwiller and Natzweiler-Struthof), Dachau, Allach, and Auschwitz concentration camps; the liberation of Auschwitz; and their repatriation via Hungary and Romania. The report provides a descriptive summary of each camp, with a particular focus on inmate conditions at Auschwitz.
