Summary
Description: Official papers and correspondence relating to the composition of an official history of the East African Campaign, 1914-1918. The documents include letters with suggested amendments for the official history and personal testimonies of those who fought. Also included are documents regarding the issues of waging war in Africa, reports on the campaign, the suitability of different types of troops for warfare in East Africa. Finally tactical sketches of troop formations are included.
