Summary
Hennigsdorf -- Staßfuhrt -- Queienfeld. A film concentrating on the operation of "socialist democracy". Opening with footage of the Volkskammer, the film first shows the operation of a steelworks at Henningsdorf, the role played by workers in its operation, and its production of extra steel to resolve a housing shortage. A second film concentrates upon the co-operation of local government and industry in Staßfuhrt to build a clinic, housing and leisure facilities, whilst the third focuses upon the participation of farmers, factory workers and the local baker in local government, and cultural life in the village of Queienfeld.
