Summary
An introduction to the GDR, its history, politics and geography. Film opens with aerial shots of Germany: historic, industrial, natural and residential. It continues to describe the geographic and demographic features before explaining the political system and looking back to Germany's wartime history, its post-war reconstruction and how it's all owned by the people. The film also discusses sport, agriculture, industry, education and leisure in the GDR.
