Summary
A film about mentally and physically disabled people in East Germany and attempts made to integrate them into the workplace. Featuring programmes designed to improve the physical and mental capabilities of disabled children. Scenes of their schooling and physiotherapy. The film then goes on to discuss the apprenticeships and schemes to get disabled people working, featuring metalworkers, farm workers and the Berlin winery. Also features Nicaraguans who have been injured in the communist struggle and pensioners who are helped with their disabilities.
