Summary
Feature-length documentary focusing on the 6th World Festival of Youth and Students. From preparations in their home countries, to traditional performances on the streets of Moscow, 34,000 delegates from 131 countries visit the USSR to pledge peace and demonstrate international friendship. Includes archive footage of war-torn nations during the Second World War alongside festival footage of a stadium procession of delegates and the planting of a friendship park. Also features scenes from a parade of circus performers and a speech given by a survivor of Nagasaki.
