Summary
Shanghai Tower is a 120 floor vertical city-a collection of businesses, services and hotels all in one place, fitting a population the size of Monaco into a footprint the size of a football field. When complete, the structure will dominate Shanghai's skyline as a testament to China's economic success and the ambitions of the city's wealthy elite. Engineers and construction crews take on bad weather and logistical challenges to hang glass panels, install a 20 ton air conditioning unit, and carry out a crane jump to complete the structural core-under intense time pressure due to the impending typhoon season.
