Title from box.
Set of 3 objects ("Exposure" photobook, "Everlasting" photobook, facsimile vintage newspaper) documenting the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
"Exposure" includes 5 facsimile film strip segments taped in between a folded leaf at the start of each chapter. Obara scanned the original pictures to make a replica of the negative image; these are lighter than the actual negatives (which are almost totally black) to allow some of the image to be visible on the film. The intention was to create images which are difficult to see and which consequently require the viewer to imagine the image within the negative.
"Everlasting" includes 8 loose photographs tucked in throughout the volume. $$5HFL
