Summary
The exhibition includes paintings, kinetic boxes, modular and paper works that comprise the early production, variations in the generation of shape and vibration from the circumference, as well as the pre-eminence of light in painting and in the kinetic work of the artist Eduardo Mac Entyre (b. Buenos Aires 1929-2014), a pioneer of geometric art in Argentina. In 1959, Mac Entyre co-founded with artists Ignacio Pirovano and Miguel Angel Vidal, the group Arte Generativo ("Generative Art"), which they defined as "engendering a series of optical sequences which are produced by the evolving of a given form." The exhibition and the accompanying book traverse the transformations of the line in his non-figurative work.
