Lewis Cady Norton (1866-1944) was married to Lillian M. Bilodeau Norton (1874-1949), with whom he had a daughter, Lucia Norton Francher (1896-1993).
Summary
Manuscript copy, unsigned, of Lewis Cady Norton's narrative concerning his experience living on a farm in South Dakota during the winters of 1889 and 1890, made before 1944. Accompanied by an autograph letter, signed, from Norton's daughter, Lucia Norton Francher, to Samuel R. Morrill & Son, bookseller, noting that Norton and his partner spent 2 years in the Black Hills before leaving the area, 1965 July 19.
