Summary
Digital scholar lab is a cloud-based research environment that allows students and researchers to apply natural language processing and visualization tools to raw data from Gale primary sources archives in a single research platform. Digital humanities analysis methods include: Named Entity Recognition, Topic Modelling, Parts of Speech, etcetera. The datasets are from multiple Gale collections of primary sources, chiefly from the 18th-19th centuries, but some resources going back to 1500. The geographic coverage is chiefly in the U.S. and England, with some materials collected on Brazil and China.
